Top 10 Survey Sites – For Extra Income!

This post may contain affiliate links.

When people are looking to earn additional income online, survey sites are one of the most popular options that you will stumble across. There are many survey sites out there, and a lot of them are a waste of time.

The following Top 10 survey sites are from my personal experience. To reach this conclusion I have taken many aspects into account, such as the payment method, the price per survey, the convenience of the site and so on.

I have a lot of experience with these sites, so I’m familiar with what’s good and the ones to avoid.

Completing surveys can be a frustrating experience. Firstly, you need to find a reliable site that isn’t going to waste your time, and even with a good site you have to qualify for a survey. The qualifying process can be frustrating, it could take you one attempt to qualify for a survey, or it might take you eight. It all depends on how your profile fits to the surveys that are available at the time.

The key to completing surveys is to shut off from everything and just focus on the task ahead (I used to put music on as well), then put aside an hour and just keep at it, this way the money soon builds up.

If you sign up to multiple reliable survey sites, there will be plenty opportunities to build up your earnings and make decent money.

The money isn’t brilliant for completing surveys, but you are being paid to give your opinion from the comfort of your home. It’s good for what it is, some extra income on the side.

The links to be redirected to these survey sites can be found in the logo or at the beginning of each paragraph.

So lets move on with the details.

Average payment : $1

Average time to complete: 5 – 15 minutes

Minimum withdrawal: $1

Surveytime is a personal favourite of mine. The payment for completing a survey is a flat fee of $1. Once you complete a survey, the payment is made into the account of your choice within minutes. This is the fastest payment method I have seen of such sites. Like the majority of survey sites, there is no building up your earnings before you have to withdraw. This is a massive plus for members of Surveytime.

The surveys take between 5 – 15 minutes to complete, and the topic of survey can literally be anything.

You can visit the Surveytime site whenever it suits you to complete a survey, and in addition to this, you will also be sent emails inviting you (you can opt out of these if you want).

This website is suited to all devices, but when I used it, I preferred my mobile phone.

Surveytime also has a great referral scheme, where you earn money for inviting friends through a link provided to you on the site.

Surveysavvy is website that pays very well, the only problem for me is the payment method. With this site the average payment for completing a survey is $3, but I have seen surveys as high as $20 (obviously this is much longer tasks).

Surveysavvy only pay by cheque, which can take anywhere from 4 weeks onwards to process and arrive to you. If you’re willing to wait, then it’s worth giving this website a try.

Survysavvy will invite you to surveys by email. The invites are not as regular as other sites, but the pay is higher when compared to most others on the market.

This website is suited to all devices, but when I used it, I preferred my mobile phone.

Swagbucks-LogoAverage payment: $0.50 upwards

Swagbucks is one of the most popular websites for surveys. For completion, you are rewarded with sb’s. These can be converted into cash to PayPal. For example, 1450sb = £10.00 or 2500sb = $25.

The money usually hits my PayPal within 10 working days. As well as cash, the sb point’s systems allows you to redeem and convert your rewards into gift cards.

You can visit the Swagbucks site whenever it suits you to complete a survey, and in addition to this, you will also be sent emails inviting you (you can opt out of these if you want).

While there is plenty of opportunities to complete surveys, there is also alternative ways to make money in-between. The website has options for offer’s, cash-back, being paid to watch videos, and play games.

Panelbase is a great UK based website to make an extra bit of cash, and the payments are higher than most. It’s a different format, you’re invited to take part in a survey by email.

I usually receive 2 or 3 invites a day, then maybe 1 or 2 over the weekend. Once the survey is complete, it usually takes about 7 days to approve before becoming payable. The surveys pay from £1 – £5, depending on length.

While the majority of the invites are standard surveys, the odd occasion you will be sent out the ordinary opportunities. I was recently paid £5 for tasting some energy jellies that were sent to me by post. I completed a short feedback survey afterwards, then the payment was made to me.

Toluna is one of the biggest platforms for surveys. To complete a task, you can expect to receive 1200 – 50,000 points for 5-15 minutes of your time (80,000 points gets you a $15 Amazon or other high-street voucher). They also pay cash to PayPal.

Top 10 survey sites – Final thought

Surveys sites are good to make some extra cash in your spare time, if you get the right ones that is. I have tried and tested many of these type of sites in the past and there is a lot of bad amongst the good.

My advice is to put some music on, shut off from the world and put aside an hour to just focus on the task ahead. The more surveys you complete, the more you will qualify for.

You will never get rich from completing surveys, you’re being paid to answer questions from the comfort of you home while sitting on the couch. But you can make some decent additional income on the side.

All these sites are free to use, so give them a try if you fancy making some extra money.

If you have any questions, then please let me know.
