  • Select ‘Your Prime Membership’ from drop-down menu within Amazon’s website
  • Select ‘Update, cancel or more’ under the ‘Manage Membership’ box in the top-right corner
  • Select the ‘End Membership’ option

Amazon will then attempt to keep you around by asking you that you’re sure you really want to cancel your Prime membership. It’s up to you whether you take them up on their offer.

Once you complete these steps, your Prime membership (whether paid or free) will automatically end when it’s up for renewal, and you won’t be charged for another month.

Amazon Prime Student UK – Final Thought

Is Amazon Prime Student UK worth the time and money? I would say so definitely. With the first 6 months free deal currently available, you have nothing to lose. Also, the membership can be cancelled at any time during this period.

Even when you have to pay for the service, it’s only £3.99 a month or £39 per year. By doing this you have access to next day free delivery on Prime items, early access to lightning deals to save money, access to tonnes of movies, TV shows, music, books and photo storage. It’s an Absolutely bargain if you ask me.

£3.99 don’t get you much these days, but it gets all of the above through Amazon.

If you have any questions with regards to this review, then please leave them below.

Amazon Music Unlimited Student – First 6 Months Free!

There are many platforms to stream music these days, and while Amazon Music UK doesn’t get the same accolades as Spotify or Apple Music, it’s on the rise, with Amazon stating it has over 55 million customers and is catching its competitors at a rapid rate. Is it the best online music streaming service though?

Lets now look at Amazon Music UK, and what it has to offer.

Spotify, the market leader has reported it has 113 million paying customers (with 248 million monthly users overall), and Apple Music 60 million. So, Amazon Music is quickly chipping away at the lead and very close to its nearest rival with only a few million less subscribers.

Amazon Music is picking up momentum fast, one reason for this is because of its versatility. The service gets to jump on the back of the hugely popular Amazon Prime membership, which is massively popular, and has become a valuable tool for its members everyday lives. The most popular choice amongst Amazon Music users is the Unlimited option.  This option is the main competitor to Spotify and Apple Music.

Amazon are currently doing a deal with this subscription for students, where you get the first 6 MONTHS COMPLETELY FREE.

It is also integrated into the company’s Alexa voice assistant; Amazon Music is optimised for use with the company’s Alexa-enabled devices like the Echo and Dot.

Amazon is gaining customers all the time. International growth is also on rise. From Amazon’s news release:

“Amazon Music has grown nearly 50% year-over-year across the US, UK, Germany, and Japan, and has more than doubled in our newer countries such as France, Italy, Spain, and Mexico.”

The majority of Amazon’s competitors have at most, two plan options, free and paid. But, as we know Amazon doesn’t do things in small measures, they’re hitting the music streaming world hard, hoping to draw in all types of music listeners.

In this review I will looking at the Amazon Music Unlimited Student package, and what it has to offer.

What is Amazon Music Unlimited for Students?

Amazon Music Unlimited for Students is a streaming music subscription, discounted for students that are currently enrolled in a recognised degree-granting university. To verify eligibility for Amazon Music Unlimited for Students, all customers will verify their student status through a third party validation service, SheerID. For more information, go to How to Start an Amazon Music Unlimited Subscription.

How do I qualify for Amazon Music Unlimited for Students?

If you’re a student currently enrolled in a recognised degree-granting university in the UK, you can start the registration process for Amazon Music Unlimited for Students at https://www.amazon.co.uk/UnlimitedStudent.

Amazon-Music-Unlimited-Student

As part of the subscription process, you will be asked to provide verification of enrolment. Verification is confirmed with third-party vendor, SheerID. If your student status can’t be automatically verified, you’ll be asked to manually upload enrolment documentation. You must provide one of the following:

• Official Enrolment Letter from your academic institution (acceptance letters will not be approved)

• Class schedule for the current academic term • Registration receipt or tuition receipt

• Transcript that shows classes currently in progress

• Other university issued document that displays your first/last name, an issue date from the current term or within the last three months

If your school is not covered by SheerID, you can request to add it here: https://verify.sheerid.com/amazon-music-request/?client=AmazonMusic. Some technical and vocational schools may not qualify for the Amazon Music Unlimited for Students discount.

Once eligibility is confirmed, you will have access to Amazon Music Unlimited. You can use the Student discount for a total of four years with concurrent student enrolment.

If I am already a Prime Student member, do I need to verify my eligibility for Amazon Music Unlimited for Students?

Yes, Amazon Music Unlimited has a different student screening process than what is used for Prime Student.

If I already am an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber and I am eligible for the Student discount, how do I switch?

You can verify eligibility by visiting your Amazon Music Settings, and selecting the Student discount. This will prompt the SheerID verification process.

With this subscription you can expect to have access to over 50 million songs. According to the company, Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions grew by over 50% in 2019.

Amazon Music Unlimited Student – Final thought

With so many rival services competing in the music streaming industry, it’s important to establish a niche to stand out from the crowd. Amazon has done this by launching the highest sound quality available in the market. This is an attractive option for music purists and anyone who wants to listen to their favourite artists in the clearest audio possible. However, that extra listening pleasure does come at a premium cost.

I personally use Amazon Music Unlimited, this has plenty of solid features, such as its huge library of 50 million songs and synchronised lyrics from one the best platforms on the market. Plus, there’s the perk of discounted prices for Prime members, which make the service particularly desirable for existing Amazon users.

The first 6 months are free for Amazon Music Unlimited Student,  so this is definitely worth taking a look at. The subscription can be cancelled at any time, and you will find out whether this is the online music streaming service for you.

If you’re a person who likes to lose yourself in a book on a regular basis, then Amazon Kindle Unlimited may just be for you.

From a number of devices members can consume as much content as they desire from eBooks, magazines and audio-books, from Amazon’s huge virtual library. Though, subscribers tend to purchase Amazon’s popular Kindle to read their content.

This service is the Netflix of the book and magazine world.

If you’re a bookworm like myself then read on. I will cover all what the service has to offer in this Amazon Kindle Unlimited review.

At the moment Amazon are offering a fantastic deal where the first 30-days are FREE when you join. The subscription can be cancelled at any time before the month is over, so you have nothing to lose by trying it out.

What do you get with Kindle Unlimited?

Amazon-Kindle-Unlimited-Review

With this subscription you can expect to gain access to over 1 million eBooks, magazines and audio-books.

This includes a massive selection of the current best-sellers, and also from lesser known authors for those who are Book enthusiasts. Amazon Kindle Unlimited has a huge library content, this ensures the service covers all types of readers. Whether you are interested in classics, modern, lesser known authors, here you will find it all.

Below is just an example of their massive selection available to read:

Cancelling the membership

If you decide Amazon Kindle Unlimited is not for you, then you can simply cancel at any time by going to ‘Your Account – Manage Your Kindle Unlimited Membership’.

How much does Amazon Kindle Unlimited cost?

To subscribe to this service, you can expect to pay £7.99 a month. If you just want to try Amazon Kindle Unlimited out, you can do so with the FREE 30-day trial. This way you can see what the service has to offer before parting with your money.

How to use Kindle Unlimited UK

You will need to join Amazon Kindle unlimited, to activate your free 30-day trial.

The interface is an excellent user-friendly platform to use. To search for title just simply select ‘Kindle Store’ from the department drop down menu, you can then search for a specific title, or browse the huge selection available.

If by any chance, you cannot find the title amongst the 1 million eBooks, audio-books or magazines, Amazon will offer you alternative ways to source and purchase the book from elsewhere.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited - Books

A great feature to have with Kindle Unlimited, is that you can use books the same way you would in physical form, by text highlighting.

Can you keep the books on Kindle Unlimited?

The books are not yours to keep. I view this subscription service as a huge virtual library, but without a return date. You borrow the books or magazine, and you can keep up to 10 books in your account at a time. So, for those who like to read multiple books at a time, this is great. Me personally, one is enough.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited - Magazine

If by any chance you do have 10 books or magazines in you account, you can return the ones you no longer require via the ‘Manage my content and devices’ menu.

In this menu you can also sort and arrange you books and magazines.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited supported devices

You don’t need a specific Kindle e-Reader to read the content. Any device that supports books though the Kindle app can enjoy this service.

Amazon-Kindle-Unlimited-Review

A huge selection of the titles included on Amazon Kindle Unlimited, also have the audiobook option available. This option is great for people like myself, who listen to audio-books on a regular basis while working. Once the book are downloads, you can then download the audio via the options menu.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited vs Amazon Prime Reading

Amazon has two different options to choose from with subscription reading services. User wise, they are the same user-friendly format. The big different being the available content.

Amazon Prime Reading, offers subscribers a library of around 1 thousand. While it’s big brother, Kindle Unlimited, boasts a huge catalogue of over 1 million books and magazines.

Prime Reading is free with the popular Prime membership, and will get you a few of the big-name titles. This would be great for the occasional reader.

But, for the book enthusiasts out there, the FREE 30-DAY trial for the Kindle Unlimited is worth taking a punt on.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited Review – Final thought

Is Amazon Kindle Unlimited worth the £7.99 subscription? That entirely depends on you and what type of reader you are. If you’re just an occasional reader, then Amazon Prime Reader may the best option for you.

If you’re a bookworm who spends a lot of time with their head in a book, then it’s definitely worth the £7.99 per month. There is huge selection to choose from, and being able to add 10 titles to your account at a time, you will never get bored. The content is constantly updating as well.

Hopefully by reading my Amazon Kindle Unlimited review, you will give the 30-day free trial a try. If it’s not for you, simply cancel before the trial is over.
